WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a micrneedling pen. The microneedling pen contains small needles that perform controlled injuries to the area of skin we are treating. These controlled injuries stimulate collagen and elastin production which in turn improves the appearance and texture of your skin. This improvement includes minimizing fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, scarring, crepey skin and more!
IS MICRONEEDLING PAINFUL?
To minimize discomfort, at Nakd Aesthetics we apply a potent numbing cream to the areas to be treated. After this, many patients do not feel any pain at all during treatment! Sometimes in areas where numbing cream cannot be applied or the skin is thinner (for example, close to the eye area), may be more sensitive. It can be described as a mild pricking sensation.
HOW MANY MICRONEEDLING SESSIONS DO I NEED?
The number of treatments varies based on the patient's concerns and goals. In general for

General skin rejuvenation purposes a minimum of 3 to 4 treatments spaced apart 4 to 6 weeks is recommended.
Acne scarring (or other scars) or deeper skin concerns (deep wrinkles, stretch marks) generally require a minimum of 6 to 8 treatments spaced apart 4 to 6 weeks.
